UK YEARBOOK 2008 - MEAT & LIVESTOCK

The Yearbook provides comprehensive data series for all aspects of the UK meat and livestock industry, from farm to fork. 

As well as for the UK as a whole, much of the data is shown separately for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

Livestock density maps and farm costings for selected production systems are a unique feature.

INTERNATIONAL MEAT MARKET REVIEW

A biannual review focusing on the principal European and international markets.  It provides an up-to-date commentary on developments in important meat producing and trading countries of the world.  It is an important tool for those who trade across borders and who want complete information on competitor markets.

The publication, produced in June and December, is divided into four sections covering beef, sheep meat, pig meat and poultry meat. 

The December 2008 edition of the International Meat Market Review provides:

  • a summary of key developments at world level and more specifically at European level for each species, including poultry meat
  • commentary on developments in important meat producing and trading countries of the world with tables and graphs illustrating recent production, trade and price trends
  • individual country forecasts of production and consumption for 2009

 

MEAT DEMAND TRENDS A quarterly publication, geared in particular to those involved in food manufacture, retailing and catering. It is also a good reference point for businesses in Europe which are trading in beef, pig meat, sheep meat, poultry meat and meat products within the UK.

EU MARKET SURVEY A weekly 14-page report.  The European Market Survey contains 12 pages of statistics updated weekly, covering all the latest market information and current industry news on the European and global red meat and poultry markets. PIG MARKET TRENDS

A monthly publication focusing on developments in the pig industry both at home and abroad, with price, production, trade and consumption data and articles on market trends, technical issues and industry developments.

Every month Pig Market Trends includes a contribution from an industry expert on a technical aspect of production, and once a quarter we present and comment on AHDB meat service's latest quarterly supply forecasts. Latest stock valuations, feed costs and other performance indicators are included.
